FV Crash

And He Walked Away: Though actually carried off on a stretcher, it's a miracle that Dermot Ennis virtually walked away from this horrendous crash in the Pro Formula Vee race. He went straight off in turn 9 hitting the wall head on. The bodywork was blown off as was the bottom pan. When the pan dropped off, the fuel cell went with it. The spilled fuel from the torn lines caused a fire in the back. To add insult to injury, the fire extinguisher also fell out of the car with the pan. Luckily, the corner marshalls were on the scene almost instantly and quickly put the blaze out. Ennis suffered a broken wrist due to holding onto the steering wheel when he impacted the wall. Normally not want you want, this time he was lucky his feet were trapped by the pedals, so they too didn't fall out and drag.
