Battle Of The Race: Perhaps the best battle of the race amongst a lot of great fights, was when J.R. Hildebrand (36) and Kevin Lacroix went side-by-side all the way through Turn 1 and then some. Despite sliding around and being within millimeters of each other, they made it through cleanly. Hildebrand won this battle, but Lacroix got him in Turn 5 on the same lap. J.R. ran a fantastic race, starting 21st and finishing ninth, while at one point he was seventh, to earn the bonus point for most positions improved. Lacroix gained two spots in the race for a sixth place finish.
