Mid-Ohio American Le Mans Series 2011 Photos

Ferrari F458 Italia GT Driven by Jaime Melo and Toni Vilander in Action

Horrible Luck: Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. After spending laps under the full course caution deciding whether to pit for rain tires, Jaime Melo finally conceded to come in, giving up the GT lead. This placed him in the middle of the pack, where he got smacked in the left rear by one of the BMWs coming out of the last turn before the restart. The hit destroyed the suspension, immediately putting him and Toni Vilander out of the race.
