The Green Flag

The Green Flag: Times were simpler back then. This reenactment of the original Watkins Glen Grand Prix races through the downtown streets shows the starter waving the flag in the middle of the field, spectators lining the edge of the course, and hay bales offering the only protection from the cars. Just like it was during the 1948-52 races.
