Purple Bar

CART shouldn't give up on Homestead, they should just give up on NASCAR. Both events had about the same attendence (40 -45K) despite the trucks going 80 MPH slower. Reason : ticket costs. The Truck race was only $25 compared to $55 - $85 for CART tickets (good for all 3 days, tho.) When you want to bring a family of 4, what price would you rather pay? CART needs to bring their ticket prices more in line to what the average Joe can afford if they want to attract the casual fan. Plus I suspect Homestead lost alot of their original CART ticket holders when they forced everyone to buy a 4 event (CART, NASCAR,Busch,Trucks) pass in order to keep their same seats which they've had for 4 years. Don't blame the fans.....BLAME CART !!
